I had been knitting since I was in my 20s. I'm 56. But after an especially chalenging lace shawl, I said like Poe's raven: "Never more", and kept the shawl ( I still have it) as a reminder.
In 2003 I was in a serious accident and my left clavicle and humerus were shattered.No physical therapy, not all the King's men, made me recover the fine coordination of my two hands. That's when I decided to start kniting again. At first I cried; I could barely knit, but little by little I started to recover the coordination and my dormant skills...
Now it is a passion. I just want to get home and start knitting, :)
