Thank You Grandma

My grandmother taught me how to knit at a very young age. What I learned through her teaching was to take pride in what you do,and to share with others. I remember her famous words, " I don't care if the mistake can't be seen, you know it is there so rip it out and do it over."
It is also through her teachings that I am able to share my work with those who are less fortunate. I donate for the mitten trees and preemie caps amoung just a few. It makes having the talent to knit much more enjoyable.
Knowing how to knit has also allowed me to make special things for the special people in my life. I have made newborn afghans for my children and now for their children.
Thanks to grandma, each time I work on a project, I feel her looking over my shoulder waiting to say, "you know that mistake is there, rip it out start again."
