Oversized and chunky, this ribbed turtleneck is the ultimate statement sweater for fall. The fabric is both drapey and voluminous due to a stitch that mimics a knit brioche worked up on an extra large hook. The result is squishy, cozy heaven that molds to and hugs the body.

My next project

Hello,
I love the sweater.
I have read the pattern and the instructions seem very clear.
I haven't started yet, but I'm really excited to do it.
I have to choose and buy the yarn. Thank you very much

My next sweater for certain!

I love Lion Brand with their wide selection of yarn, cost and their patterns. When I saw this pattern my first words were WOW I LOVE THIS SWEATER!!!!! THANK YOU LION BRAND! I live in a winter climate I do alot of winter activities(shoveling, snow blowing etc) and this sweater surely will be warm and stylish. I am now deciding on colors and the yarn color. My goal is to have it completed, blocked and in my closet by the first snow fall.... Directions are easy to follow... Excited to start this sweater!

I was very excited to crochet this sweater. I have completed lots of projects from blankets to hats, scarves, etc., but never a sweater. The stitch was easy to learn and I was able to follow the pattern and complete all the pieces.
The downside is there aren't specific directions for the seaming. I used the mattress stitch for the shoulder and turtleneck seams, which worked vey well. The issue is with attaching the sleeves. I have tried multiple ways to sew the seams to keep the spacing of the ribbing even. I either have too much space or too little space between them at the join. I can not find a tutorial online anywhere that shows how to seam a project done in this stitch (yarn over slipstitch into back loop). I am hopeful that it will be a lovely sweater if I can ever complete the seaming!
Any help is appreciated.

Hello! I just have a quick question. Am wondering if this project is worked from top all the way down. down?

Hi Ella - this pattern is actually worked from side to side for the body, and the sleeves are worked top down from the shoulders.
