The pattern was free and easy to read. Simple knit and purl stitches....for miles. It took all of the yarn recommended. About the yarn....the color in the picture is much brighter than in real life. Shadow is more of a Gray with barely a hint of green....definitely not as shown. It worked out ok as it was for my bachelor son, and he would think gray would be fine. Sea Glass is a pretty color and makes a pretty purled chain of three. I had EXACTLY the amount of sea glass with no more than 2 inches to weave in, so don't squander the complimentary color. I chose this pattern so I could work on my tension, and saw some improvement. The acrylic yarn was on sale for $2.99. It was ok to work with but certainly not the quality of higher priced wool yarns. So I got my moneys worth.
