The stitch definition is actually pretty good for this being an acrylic yarn, I did a star blanket that took this yarns color potential to a different level for natural strips, as well as a 2 sided afghan that had amazing stitch definition. This yarn is a higher quality acrylic and feels soft and comfortable to the touch; afghans made from this yarn are absolutely cozy and comfortable. The only reason I felt the need to rate this 4 stars was the frogging capability, there were a couple of times where the yarn completely snapped altogether while frogging because how bad it would catch on itself, but nothing Russian joining can’t fix. One of my favorite acrylics to work with!
Lionbrand is my go to yarn for blankets. Love the Mandala range, particularly the bonus bundle. Never had a problem taking care of the finished product. Always confident giving away as gifts because so easy to take care of.
I was very curious about this mandala yarn. I was surprised it was so small (#3?). I started the sweater pattern and decided I wanted it more bulky than one thread, so I ordered 3 more mandalas in the same color hoping I would find 2 wound in the same progression of colors. I DID! It is turning out perfectly! I use double strand and adjusting the cast on #’s, etc. it is turning out so beautifully. I love working with this yarn and I get surprised when a new color comes weaving through. I have many rolls of meowth. I am now starting a baby blanket, double strand, for a little girl with the white and pink to begin.
I love this yarn nice and light but can still take off the chill. The colors blend nicely from color to color. I made a shawl for my sister. The pattern was from Bag O day crochet. She loves it!
This yarn has such beautiful colors and is soft to the feel. The pattern is simple and works up quickly
