Was excited to use my new hook only to start a chain row and it snags with every stitch. Was hoping I was going to be luckier than others who shared the same problem.

I was really looking forward to using this hook while working on the Ew David blanket. It's impossible to use as it snags constantly. Disappointed
Hello Arwen - our apologies for the snags! You can use some fine grit sandpaper to smooth out the edges of this hook, but please email our quality control team at [email protected] as well so we can record this issue.
The hook is mediocre. I always reach for my Furls or clover hooks instead. I find the wood snags on the yarn and I go quite slower.
This is my first bamboo hook and I absolutely love it! The only down side for me personally is that I ordered a 4mm hook and since it’s bamboo it seems smaller than a regular 4mm. Very smooth with using, aside from the occasional snags. It doesn’t have a traditional gripper like I’m use to but that doesn’t hinder the hook in anyway.
This is my first bamboo hook, it works nicely with the wool ease yarn. The pricing was affordable too.
I had no problems with this hook - it was smooth and flowed beautifully with the yarn. But it was a little challenging to hold for long periods of time due to the size - my hands just couldn't grasp it for a long time, so I had to take breaks to let my hand uncramp. Other than that, it's extremely well-made and worked perfectly.
