Cute idea, but....

I have been knitting for about 80 decades and can follow patterns without a problem. This sweater looked cute for my 3 yr old great granddaughter. The sleeve attachment was different but made sense. However, completing the side seams did not work well. When the instructions said to close 2" below sleeves, leave the remaining edges of side edging open, I didn't like it at all. As a result, I decided to use a different pattern for a little girl's sweater. Fortunately, there was sufficient yarn to complete a different top, using the same stripes idea.

You what ?

I thought this was great and I’m in the middle but the instructions seem to suggest that this is open under the arms and up the sides.... the finishing instructions aren’t very clear at all!!

Hi Rachel - you will seam up the sides of the pullover, but that is one of the last steps in the project, after you've knit the side edging on both the front and the back pieces. The edging and seaming directions can be found on page 5 of the PDF, under the 'FINISHING' heading. If you have any other questions on this pattern, please email us at [email protected] for help!
