Knit Kit - Windermere Shawl

SKU: B72428

Like many other people, Taylor Swift’s folklore album was an escape, a salvation during the very long year that was 2020… It gave me the shivers that I imagine Taylor felt while overlooking Windermere Lake, sensing the tears from the poets who escaped there before her. Inspired by the bonus track the lakes, the Windermere Shawl is a “semi-circular”/half-hexagon piece featuring lace stitches reminiscent of falling Elm tree leaves, a small section of strategic traveling stitches that embody the famous peaks, and a delicate picot bind off. Simple lace techniques and basic increases come together to create a stunning shawl that is perfect for wrapping around your shoulders on a walk along The Lakes on a summer evening.

Note: pattern calls for 64" circular needles. We have listed the longest length for each size that is currently carried on lionbrand.com.

Pattern Designer Info
Hey! I'm Kaysie, the designer and maker behind KaysieCrafts. I learned to crochet from my grandmother as a kid and picked it back up again in college when I needed inexpensive holiday gifts. I quickly fell down the rabbit hole and progressed to learning how to knit and designing my own items. I was born and raised in Washington State (Go Cougs!), and when I'm not knitting or crocheting, you can usually find me with my nose in a book. Thank you for supporting KaysieCrafts!

So special

I haven't started this yet but I find myself petting the beautiful yarn regularly. I will be putting the shawl into the box of adult items I'm making for my granddaughter for when she's grown up
