Homespun® Yarn

SKU: 790-225D

From shawls to sweaters to throws, this yarn can't be beat for softness and sheer touch-ability. With solids, heathers, and beautiful self-striping 'painterly' colors, Homespun® comes in gorgeous shades you'll love. Please note that some colors have long, slow color variations that cause them to subtly stripe. This is deliberate and adds to the beauty of the finished garment; such yarns are designated as our 'painterly' colors.

Homespun Yarn - Crochet

Love, love, love it! Easy to work with using the suggested hook or near that size. The finished product can go in both the washer and dryer!! I make shawls and lap blankets.Usually they are distributed to the sick and elderly. And, the finished product is soooo cuddly warm! I enjoy the "long, slow color variations that cause them to subtly stripe" it gives the garment. I always look for Homespun in my Santa Bag or Surprise Box. Thank you.

Beautiful colors that don’t fade. Machine washable and dryable. Super soft and easy to work with!

I used Mixed Berries for the verigated look in the center and Clouds for for the border around the suares. Then finished off with a mixed berries border. The red is a homespun yarn no longer available, claret.

Texture varies by color

I found that certain colors are very easy to work with and others are super difficult. Also the easier ones have a stiffer feel when the garment is completed.

Such cozy yarn!!

Absolutely love working with this yarn to make blankets! It’s so soft and perfect thickness for a cozy fall/winter blanket.
Recently made a winter throw blanket for a friend. Can’t wait to give it to her!
