Sherpa Buckets for all on my Christmas List

I bought 8 of the soft colors to mix and match knitting the Lion Brand Sherpa Teddy Bucket Hat pattern for Christmas gifts. I think the hat is so cute and love that it holds its shape yet can be folded flat! The yarn is soft and squishy; it made very warm hats being Jumbo weight. Your stitches will get lost in the depth of fur, thus, you need to use markers and count frequently. I also found using a leather thimble saved my finger tips from becoming raw when pushing the tips of large needles, but then I seldom knit with bulky wt. yarn and my fingers weren't use to it. I'm so pleased with the hats LB Sherpa yarn created.

Perfect for soft bunnies and teddy bears

f a challenge to crochet with the fuzzy bulky yarns and while it took a bit to get the hang of it, this yarn is also very forgiving. Pros-soft, fuzzy, does not shed, or leave lint. If you make a mistake, its not visible, and you can do shaping techniques with this yarn that you can't do with traditional yarn. Cons-You can't see individual stitches or rows so if you are following a pattern where count matters, be sure to use stitch markers and keep track of rows as you go. I found it harder for my 60 year old hands to work with the yarn and they got tired at first but it was therapeutic exercise for my hands and it has gotten much easier. The yarn previously was available in a white or cream color but it sold out and I haven't been able to get more. Today I noticed it is no longer offered and I really hope they bring it back. Everyone loves it!

Started making a blanket, a little difficult in the beginning because it's so thick and plush, but my hands adjusted pretty quickly. Hubby loved the feel and kept squishing it. It's soft and plush; the colors are even soft. The cat kept trying to pull it off my lap. My granddaughters put it over their legs on Thanksgiving. Guess who won it

I received the yarn as part of the 'Crochet Kit - My Chunky Sherpa Coat'.
I was a bit hesitant about the yarn at first due to the instruction part that you can't see the stitches and have to feel them while crocheting. However I got used to it very quickly.
I love soft feeling of the yarn and it is super comfy and warm already just by having the piece I am working on in my lap. The yarn is super thick so finishing a piece is super quick, which is pretty rewarding. I went on and bought 3 additional color selections in order to make other jackets for Christmas.
Just one tiny 'warning'. The amount of yarn calculated in the kit (I purchased size S) is super conservative. Turns out that I apparently crochet looser than average so with using the stitch count in the instructions, my coat is turning out larger than expected. In itself not an issue, but I completely ran out yarn after finishing front, back and arms. I ordered more yarn to be able to make the hood and pockets and sew the coat together. Hopefully it will color match well enough. Also unfortunately delivery time is currently a couple of weeks so it is a bit frustrating to see the unfinished pieces sitting on my coffee table.
Overall, great yarn with a lot of potential.
