This drop sleeve cardigan is slouchy and oversized with about 8-10” of positive ease for sizes S, M, L, XL and 5X and 6-8” of positive ease for sizes 2X, 3X and 4X. For example, this means that if your actual bust is 32” (size small), the cardigan bust is 10” larger. Model is wearing a size Small, and I am about 5’6 for height reference.

I was a bit nervous at first because of the wool but this yarn is so soft and warm that I wish it was always cold so I can wear it every day! 😂 pattern + video was easy to follow along and I even had enough yarn to add some extra rows to my liking on the sleeves and collar for my size (main color I used was “Saffron”)
The Cozy Days Daisy Cardigan by All About Ami is a fun project that's perfect for any crocheter at any skill level. I'm excited that Lion Brand made it a kit which helped organization and efficiency where I was able to purchase all the necessary supplies in one order. All About Ami writes a clear pattern that's easy to follow and results in a fun garment as the final product. I chose different colors than what was recommended in order to make a sunflower style instead of the daisies. The yarn is soft and easy to work with. I hope Lion Brand continues to partner with All About Ami because she designs great patterns!
I am not excited with the yarn that comes with the kit. It tends to untwist easily, would not be good for fringe. I don't consider myself an expert crocheter, but I have crocheted for a good while and I don't consider the directions to be as clear as others I have used. The hook size was way off for me. I had to use a 6mm hook instead of the 8mm it called for, and even then had to crochet tightly to get the 7 inch squares. Also the picture has 6 squares for the sleeves and the directions call for 4 squares. Had to make 4 extra squares to have the long sleeve shown. Haven't put it together yet, don't know how that will come out.
This was such a fun pattern to make! This is the first crocheted garment I've made and am so happy with the results. I was able to complete the project quickly and avoid boredom that way. I've been wearing my creation and have received many compliments. I hope to make another one! The kit provided exactly the right amount of yarn for the project; the instructions and accompanying videos made it very easy to know what to do. The pattern was also very accurate in terms of the gauge resulting in the correctly sized finished project. The price-point on this kit was also good (actually great with a sale I took advantage of): with a poor track record with garments, I was able to take a chance on this one knowing the investment was reasonable.
I love this pattern, I love that there is sizing and adjustments based on sizing. 10/10 recommend trying it out
I've made several of Stephanie (allaboutami)'s patterns, and this is by far my most favourite! What I love about this pattern (and all her patterns) is that it is so versatile, allowing you to change up colours how you see fit, and even using different yarn textures and types if you wish! I've made several patterns using this "Daisy" pattern, and I'm excited to see what she comes up with next!
