I have completed one blanket using a multi-color Crayola™ Off The Hook and have started a new one using a multi-color and solid colors Crayola™ Off The Hook blanket. The only problem is the non-availability of some colors. But after a lot of searching of the internet I did find the last color I need for my second blanket and I have Crayola™ Off The Hook in a multi-color loops and the solid colors to make a third blanket. I am really enjoying making blankets with Crayola™ Off The Hook and intend to try to make a baby hat as soon as the cornflower blue arrives.
This yarn is easy to work with and works up quickly. My only issues were that a published pattern on JoAnn's site did not look the same with the materials listed. I ended up using 6 skeins instead of 4 to get the right length.
As for the yarn itself, I had one color that had a know in every skein, but no knots in any of the other colors. There were 2 instances where the loop was too small. On one it was big enough to use without looking too odd. On the other, I ended up kind of double-looping to get the correct height.
All in all, this is a good product and you can't beat the fantastically bright colors.
Like another reviewer, my first purchase of this loop yarn was the Motley color. I made a queen size blanket with it and out of the 20 skeins I only came across less than a handful of loops that were either very, very small, or broken (an open loop), but all in all I was very happy. So then I bought 28 more skeins in some different colors, and the Royal Purple skeins, all 5 of them, had major issues with them, from there being hardly any material on a lot of the loops, broken (open) loops, missing loops, and misshapen loops. I wound up needing to cut out a lot of bad parts so that wasted quite a bit of the yarn. So out of the 48 skeins I've bought 5 of them were pretty bad, but all the rest so far a good. This yarn is really a lot of fun to use, and it makes super SUPER soft and skooshy blankets!
I used this yarn to make a sweater for my grandson. It worked up rally fast and turned out adorable!
I had first bought this loop yarn in a different colorway (moonbeam, 12 skeins) and loved it SO much. Every skein was uniformly pristine. So then I purchased the magenta and out of 15 skeins, 6 had major issues. From there being good size portions of tiny loops I couldn't use, unraveling of the loops to doubled up loops. If I had only bought the first colorway and no more, I'd have given this product 5 stars. I was really disappointed in the magenta colorway's defects after I had such great success with the Moonbeam colorway.
