The yarn, the pattern and design together create a harmonious results. If the blanket was only an addition to your decor or my made for someone else will be cherished for many years to come. Picture of work in progress. Completed project.
I love whistle and wool! I’ve made several of her patterns and have two more of her kits with Lion brand in my project queue. I appreciate the monthly highlights on various crafters as well… interesting that Angie is also a mechanic! I firmly believe handwork is good for the brain and the soul!

Love this pattern, it’s easy to follow can’t wait until it’s finished.
First order and it took about a month to get the kit- which was just yarn and a marketing postcard.
It would have been nice to have more than a download of the pattern- like maybe a printed card with the pattern to keep instead of the ad. And the yarn is a wool blend that is coming out a bit stiff. Maybe when the blanket is done it will have more drape- since I got it so late I am only one skein into the project.
Because of the very long wait- with no tracking and no opportunity to cancel and go in a store myself- I don’t know if I would order from online again. Also, I liked that the yarn was matched to the product, but I would rather have felt it in person.
A very informative history.
I enjoy hearing from the designers. Whistle and wool patterns are great knits and her patterns are well written.
