Stitch Explanation: 8-st RC Sl 4 sts to cn and hold to back, k4, k4 from cn.
Pattern: Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 (RS) *K4, p2, k8, p2; rep from *, end k4.
Row 2 and all WS rows P4, *k2, p8, k2, p4; rep from * to end.
Row 13 *K4, p2, 8-st RC, p2; rep from *, end k4.
Row 14 Rep row 2.
Rep rows 1–14.
Note: this is a generic pattern for creating this cable. For a single cable it would be 16 stitches. In the example shown, there are 2 repeats of the stitch, so you'd need to cast on 36 (16 x 2 + 4) stitches and do 2 repeats to get a swatch that appears the same.
