Stitchfinder: Knit Nature Motif: Lemon Slice
Slip stitches knitwise with yarn at back of work. Do not break off yarn at each color change, but carry yarn not in use up side of work.
Using crochet hook and spare yarn, make 12ch. Fasten off. Using A, pick up and k10 sts in the back loops of the chain and k1 row.
* Continue with A.
1st row K.
2nd row Slip 1, k3, turn, k to end.
3rd row Slip 1, k5, turn, k to end.
4th row Slip 1, k7, turn, k to end.
5th row Slip 1, k5, turn, k to end.
6th row Slip 1, k3, turn, k to end.
7th row Slip 1, k to end. ** Continue with B.
8th row (RS) K.
9th row Slip 1, k to end.
Repeat from * 3 times more, then from * to ** once again.
Break off A.
With RS facing, using crochet hook and B, work across sts on needle in crochet, working 1sc in each st as you slip it off the needle, 2sc in corner, 1sc in each garter ridge around large curve, 2sc in corner. Remove starting chain, slipping each st carefully on to knitting needle and work 1sc in each st. Continuing across small curve, work 1sc, 1hdc, [2-st tr decrease] twice, 1hdc, 1sc in curve. Join by stitching loop to first sc. Fasten off.
With RS facing and large curve at top, rejoin B in right-hand corner of curve. Work 1sc in each sc along large curve, working 2sc in each sc where A wedges meet.
With RS facing and large curve at top, join A in first sc of last row.
Work 1sc in back loop of each sc along large curve. Fasten off.
