Stitchfinder: Crochet Trim: Popcorn Fringe
Skill level: Intermediate
Note: Popcorn = work 5 dc in same st, slip last loop off hook, insert hook in top loop of first treble, reinsert in top loop of last dc, pull this loop through to close the top of popcorn st.
Make a foundation chain of the required length, or work row 1 directly into the item to be trimmed with right side facing.
(multiple of 5 stitches + 4)
Row 1: 1 ch, 1 sc in each chain to end, turn.
Row 2: 1 ch, 3 sc in front loop only, *popcorn, 4 sc in front loop only, rep from * to end, turn.
Row 3: 1 ch, 1 sc in front loop of each st to end, turn.
Row 4: As row 1.
Fasten off.
Fringe: Knot three lengths of yarn into row 4, in line with the popcorn.
