  • Curled edges

I regret being the first to review this pattern with a negative response - but here's a heads up for a solution that's a problem with the end result of the knitted cowl. The edges curl up very significantly. There are several solutions for this problem in knitted garments but it's a bit tricky to come up with a solution AFTER the garment is completed. I know from experience that no amount of pressing or blocking will offer much more than a temporary "fix". One thing that can be done to a finished piece that is curled is to add a row or two of single or double crochet to the edge. The other option is to add knit and purl ribbing or a few rows of garter stitch edging. My solution will be to add a few rows of garter stitch using picked up stitches along the cast on and cast off edges. I am knitting the cowl to 5" wide rather than the suggested 5 1/2" due to the added width of the added on edges. Wish me luck, hope this helps. Landscapes yarn really does look great though in this pattern. Good luck ladies!!
