Nice bag and pattern, love the reinforcements. The strap in the pictures isn't 15" but is in the pattern. If you make one be sure to add stitches to the strap
The measurement width on the bottom didn’t match the pattern so I switched to a smaller hook and used less stitches. Well, I ended up having to buy another skein of yarn to finish the strap. I do love the bag though and it worked up quickly. It stores small and is handy for carrying bulky items. Granted, I am a beginner.
Love this yarn it has the look of raffia without the scratchy stiffness. I have started making the field trip tote and the rewind yarn works up like a dream. I would have had to pay a fortune for a bag this size and quality if I purchased it in a store!!
The pattern is well written and very easy to do. Alex's patterns are very easy to follow and complete. Thank you!
The Rewind yard has a great feel and I love it as a tote. HOWEVER.... there are soooo many knots (10 in one skein!) in my yarn!!! I am surprised at Lion Brand's quality control over this. I purchased 15 skeins (enough to make three bags) and I am close to the end of the second bag. I know I will not buy Lion Brand Rewind yarn again for this project.
