Faux Feathers

My husband wanted a “Water Buffalo Lodge” hat to complete a Fred Flintstone costume for summer camp. When I saw the sale ad I thought Faux Feathers would be perfect. I crocheted it paired with a worsted weight yarn which helped with structure and feeling the stitches. Textured yarn can be challenging to know where you are and especially if you have to rip back and change something. The results were great looking although I imagine wearing it will be heavy and hot!

Great Product to add Fluff

I have ordered or purchased a lot of this yarn either in person or from a local retailer. It is so soft and lightweight, making it a perfect add/twist in product to amigurumi projects. I will definitely continue buying as long as I can!

Great yarn!

I bought this yarn to make an amigurumi lamb. It was perfect for what I wanted. I wouldn't recommend it for beginner crocheters though, because it is kind of hard to work with, and it is also hard to see your stitches.

Is it safe to say OBSESSED

I am obsessed with this yarn. I was a little nervous at first to use it but then Soave knits came out with the BEST feather top using it and I simply HAD to try it. It was so wonderful and works up nicely.

Fun for Creative Use

I used this yarn in green to create a "grass pad" for my indoor cat. So far, she's seemed to enjoy it! I hide treats in the grass-like feathers for her to hunt for, so it's been a good enrichment tool. There are definitely many fun and creative ways to use this yarn!

Perfect for my intended use

I bought this to make hair for some character dolls that I'm making. It works great for that. I bought 6 different colors and am having fun giving my characters funky hair. I just crochet a piece the size I need for the scalp and then pull the feathers out so that they stick up everywhere. Gives me a nice choice from using fake fur.
