Yarn for project

I bought Pound of Love for a very large project. It is fairly soft, I thought it would be softer. I had to frog my project and the yarn kept snagging. It splits all the time. I gave my rating of a 3 stars because of starting the yarn. I pulled the yarn from the middle and had a snag. I thought what would come out is a small amount of yarn barf. What came out was another skein not attached to my original skein. I had two skeins of yarn. I started to crochet and within a few rows boom a knot. Why did I have 2 skeins and a knot. My prayer is that this will not be the norm for all the skeins. In seeing others who had the same problem I did I think that this project will take a long time untangling more than crocheting.

Never again

I'm using this yarn for a blanket and will never buy again. Out of all the yarn I've used, I've never had so many yarn barfs. I sat, untangling the yarn, for hours. There are also odd spots where the yarn is either really thick or really thin. I also just found a little piece of wood/twig! I put in a complaint and they replaced my yarn, but the replacement was worse!

Great for throws!

I’m not sure who I’m making this navy blue throw for, but I’m glad I chose this yarn because it’s easy on the fingers and works up well!

Nice Yarn, Good Selection of Colors

I am so happy with the variety of colors. When I was in high school, I used this yarn to crochet a baby blanket for charity. I used a yellow color. Fast forward 18 years, and I love how this line has a variety of colors not just geared for typical baby items. I bought four different colors for my new knitting machine. It does well with this machine, but after handling the finished hats, I noticed light fuzz is noticeable (but not worse than other acrylic yarns). I haven't crocheted with it yet. I also made a headband on the knitting machine, and the stitches look very smooth. (In picture, three of the hats were made with this yarn: mocha, waterfall, and cinnabar).

Best jumbo skeins EVER

I don't generally like the "pound style" skeins of yarn because they usually have an unpleasant texture to them compared to their normal sized counterparts (I think they do, anyway), but I LOVE Lion Brand's! It's just a smidge thinner than the average worsted weight, but I actually like that about it. It's soft, pliable, easy to work with, and has a very nice colour selection. ★★★★★
