I’m obsessed with patterns that are simple but still have a super-striking impact. That’s exactly why I designed the Over Fences Cowl and Over Fences Hat. These patterns feature a blend of colorwork interspersed with stockinette, keeping you engaged but not overwhelmed. The lattice
design for both pieces is created by a stitch repeat that becomes intuitive and starts to flow rhythmically as you knit. Bold, contrasting colors really make the design pop. And since it’s made with DK yarn, this set is light yet warm, giving you ultimate versatility throughout the seasons.
Four skeins of Wool Ease DK will yield one cowl, three hats and a little leftover yarn to make yarn poms.
Cowl: 21 sts and 22 rnds = 4” (10 cm) square in the stranded pattern and stockinette
Hat: 24 sts and 30 rounds = 4” (10 cm) square in 1x1 ribbing (hat brim) using smaller gauge needles
21 sts and 22 rounds = 4” (10 cm) square in the stranded pattern and stockinette (hat body) using larger gauge needles
Cowl: Circumference: Approximately 16” (40.5 cm), Length: Approximately 28.25” (72 cm)
Hat: Circumference: 19.5” (49.5 cm), Height: 9.25” (23.5 cm)
This hat is designed to be worn with approximately 3.5” (9 cm) of negative ease and fit an adult head measuring up to 23” (58.5 cm).

this is my first time buying a pattern from Lion brand. And I was not disappointed. These knit up to some warm options for the cold weather. I’ve started another with a different color scheme. I also alternated which color I used for the outline and inside the diamonds. Amble yarn provided.
