Easy to work with

Used this yarn in Oatmeal to crochet a large granny stitch blanket on an 8mm crochet hook - it was very easy to work with. The color was as advertised. Minus a star for how much the brown/black accents shed but the overall effect is very nice.

Woolease Thick and Quick yarn

I purchased a pattern that recommended Woolease Thick and Quick yarn, so I ordered that yarn for the project. The sweater turned out beautifully! This yarn is nice to work with and the finished product feels soft to the touch. I will use it again in the future.

Elegant sweater

I liked the designer's original Wool-Ease colors, but decided to make my sweater in Barley and Jam Cookie yarns instead. I am very pleased with the lacy stained glass effect against the muted base yarn. I hadn't ever knit a sweater top-down before, but it turned out nicely. The sweater is warm and cozy, too - great for northeastern winters.

My Seven Year Old Son Loves it

My son is knitting a striped, garter stitch blanket with this and he really enjoys it.

I love this yarn!

I am a newbie to crochet. This yarn worked up quickly into a queen size blanket which is very encouraging to a new crocheter like myself; especially on such a large project. It took a couple weeks including wait time on more yarn because it was decided to go bigger. The color selection is great, for this blanket I used Spiced Apple and it's just beautiful with subtle tonal variations of the burgundy and little flecks of lighter reddish burgundy, oatmeal and a darkest forest green, nearly black. The colors looks more high end, I think, than a homogenous solid color. It's so pretty! It turned out very soft with nice drape using a large hook in hdc-blo. Such a nice and meditative project to do. I'm including a WIP photo 9 skeins into it, finished is about double this size. The recipient seemed to really like it. I'm very happy with it.

Wool Ease Thick & Quick in a nutshell

Wool Ease Thick & Quick is a yarn that I have been using since I started to learn knitting and crocheting during the pandemic. I think it’s a decent yarn quality for the price, especially when I find it on sale. I like the array of colors and prints available and I find it to be a useful and often beautiful part of my stash. I use it for everything from afghans to shawls and accessories like cowls and slippers. My biggest wish is that Wool Ease Thick & Quick were more durable. With use and washing (according to the label directions) I find it tends to pill up very quickly and I find that disappointing after putting so much work into my items. After all, this isn’t so cheap a yarn to purchase for the amount one receives. The yarn is only 20% wool (the rest is acrylic of course) and I find myself wishing there was a higher wool content. I also think the color palette is missing a few, great, basic colors like some simple jewel tones (royal purple, cobalt blue, etc.).
This yarn has great stitch definition and can look quite beautiful when an item is new, I just wish it had better staying power. In short, I think it’s a good yarn that could be great if only it had a higher mix of natural fibers.
