Not Sure About This One

I'm not sure how I feel about the design of this shrug. I worked the size small and I ended up making the back fewer rows because it would have been too wide across the back had I followed the pattern. The shrug doesn't seem to stay on very well, it falls off down the shoulders any time I am doing and thing more involved (like making dinner). Just walking around or sitting around it stays on ok but not if you are doing any work around the house. Perhaps I made a mistake along the way but all my measurements were accurate (except for less back rows). Overall I'm not sure if I will keep this or frog it.
