Fairy Wings

Lion Brand® Imagine

GAUGE:

Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

WINGS
Sketch wing shape as desired onto foam core. Using T-pins to secure curves, bend craft wire into wing shape.
Remove wire wing from foam core and repeat to make 4 wings.
Cut yarn into lengths about 2 in. (5 cm) longer than each wire wing.
Gently slide yarn over each wire wing. Wrap string around each wing tip to secure yarn.
Lay wings onto a flat surface with all 4 tips meeting. With string, tie tips together securely.
Wrap string ties on wings with yarn or with other trim.
Tie lengths of yarn or other trim onto center of wing to make straps for wearing wings.

Fairy Wings Reviewed by Margaret on 2014-10-04 *
I have to agree with the other reviewer here. I thought that there would be some sort of knit or crocheted pattern that you then attached to wire forms. I suppose I could figure this out but I have made other things such as this before. I cannot see anyone being able to do anything with that little bit of direction. The wings are sweet too. Though it sounds like all you are doing is wrapping yarn around a wire form I have to wonder how long the wings would last. Even faeries play hard :)
