USA Afghan
Lion Brand® Hometown USA®
GAUGE: 7 hdc = 4 in. (10 cm); One square = 14 x 14 in. (35.5 x 35. 5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Afghan is made from 9 Squares; 5 of Square 1 and 4 of Square 2. The Squares are sewn together following the Diagram. 2. Yarn color is changed on every other row. 3. Instructions are given to fasten off the old color when changing yarn color. If you prefer, carry unused color along side edge of work. Then, when sewing Squares together, be sure to include the side with the carried yarn strands in a seam.

| This makes a pretty small afghan. I added three more squares. I felt like it needed a border so I put a single crochet row of white around the whole thing.
