Moon Rock Hat
Lion Brand® Amazing®
GAUGE: 12 sts = about 5 in. (12.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: Popcorn Work 4 dc in indicated st, drop loop from hook, insert hook in first dc of the 4-dc group just made, return dropped loop to hook and draw it through.
sc2tog (sc 2 sts together) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook – 1 st decreased.
|
NOTES: 1. The Band is designed to stretch to fit, so it worked with negative ease (it will be small than actual head size).
2. Band is worked back and forth in rows. The last row is joined to first row to make a ring.
3. The sts for the Hat are worked along one long side of the Band.
