Cushy Crochet Cowl
Lion Brand® Luxe Fur
GAUGE: 6 1/2 dc = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Cowl is worked in joined rnds. At the end of each rnd, join last st to first st with a sl st.
2. If you find it difficult to join the beg ch into a ring without twisting the ch, Rnd 1 can be worked as a row, then joined into a rnd, as follows: Ch 42, dc in 4th ch from hook (beg ch counts as dc), dc in each ch across; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Proceed to Rnd 2. When weaving in ends, use the beg tail to sew the ends of first row together.

COWL
Ch 40; taking care not to twist ch, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc in this rnd and in all following rnds), dc in each ch around; join with sl st in top of beg ch - 40 dc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch.
Repeat Rnd 2 until piece measures 12 in. (30.5 cm) from beg.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail.

| I've used this yarn to crochet both scarves and this cowl pattern. I love this yarn. The colours are vibrant and rich; and it crochets up beautifully. While it does shed when it's new, the shedding stops after a couple hand washings.
