Seashell Poncho
Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes®
GAUGE: 3 1/2 Blocks (3-dc) + 4 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Block pattern.
7 1/2 sc + 8 rows = 4 in. (10 cm).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: 1. Poncho is worked in rnds beg at the neck, in a pattern of 3-dc Blocks.
2. Beg with Rnd 2, Blocks are worked in the spaces between Blocks of previous rnd.
3. Poncho is shaped with two (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) corners, at both front and back.
4. Edging is worked around neck edge of completed Poncho.

| I modified to get the result I wanted. I used worsted weight yarn in turquoise and white and made stripes. I left off the top part that makes the neck smaller and added a large flower from a hat pattern to the front. Over all very cute and perfect for my friends one year old daughter. And of course I always forget to take pictures
