Seashell Poncho

Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes®

GAUGE:

3 1/2 Blocks (3-dc) + 4 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Block pattern.
7 1/2 sc + 8 rows = 4 in. (10 cm). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

Quick and easy Reviewed by Katrina Mattern on 2014-03-25 ****
This worked up so cute for my little one! She's about 14 months old and I made the larger size. I also chained 54 sts to start with instead of 36 and went in every third st to get the 18 foundation blocks. This made the neck bigger since it was way too small for me as is. I used a cotton combo yarn and the size K hook.
