Row 1: Purl.
Row 2: K in front and back of each st across – 12 sts.
Rows 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11: With A, purl.
Row 4: With A, *M1, k1, rep from * – 24 sts.
Row 6: With A, *M1, k2, rep from * across – 36 sts.
Row 8: With A, *M1, k3, rep from * across – 48 sts.
Row 10: With A, *M1, k6, rep from * across – 56 sts.
Row 12: With A, knit.
Row 13: With B, purl.
Row 14: With B, knit.
Row 15 and 16: With A, rep Rows 13 and 14.
Rows 17 and 18: With C, rep Rows 13 and 14.
Row 19: With B, purl.
Row 20: With B, k, inc 4 sts evenly spaced across – 60 sts.
Row 21: With A, purl.

Row 42: Change to double pointed needles. With A, k2tog across – 3 sts.
Hanging Loop
Do not turn work. Slide sts to other end of needle and k3. Continue to slide sts to other end of needle and k3 until cord measures about 6 in (15 cm). Bind off. Sew bound-off end of cord to beginning to make loop.
FINISHING
Wrap piece around foam ball and sew seam, drawing in sts of bound-off and cast-on edges. Sew bound off end of cord to top of Ornament.
Weave in ends.
