PUMPKIN Ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 10 sc in first ch. Place marker in first st for beginning of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around – 10 sts.
Rnd 3: Work 2 sc in each st around – 20 sts.
Rnd 4: Work 2 sc in each st around – 40 sts.
Rnds 5 -12: Sc in each st around. Start stuffing firmly.
Rnd 13: *Sc2tog around – 20 sts.
Rnd 14: *Sc2tog around – 10 sts.
Rnd 15: Sc2tog around – 5 sts.
Fasten off.
FINISHING Sew a loop of green yarn at top of Pumpkin for stem.
Weave in ends.

Adorable! I made the ridges with yarn wrapped around it like some suggested, and it was one of my Mom's favorite parts of the whole cornucopia I made at her request :).
I used this pattern without the ridges for the apple, because the actual apple pattern was coming out far to big for me, for some reason. It worked fine, and now my little sisters have an apple ball to roll around, their favorite fruit :).
