As seen on the Martha Stewart Show, this scarft is quick to crochet, but still impressive.

Curly Scarf

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®

GAUGE:

13 dc = 4 in. (10 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

If you wish curls of Scarf to be symmetrical, work Scarf in two halves.
For each half, ch 90, then work Rows 1-4 as for Scarf.
Sew halves together so that each half curls away from the center back.
Continue with Finishing as for one piece Scarf.

Curly Scarf Reviewed by Mary Alice Kohs on 2009-11-15 *****
Have made 2 of these so far, both with scraps of yarn remnants - even different gauges and textures. Both are spectacular. If you are planning to do a scrappy version of this scarf, keep in mind to save your favorite yarn for the outer rows as that is mostly what shows. Will make a few more for teacher gifts for this holiday season.
