Granny Squares Scarf

Lion Brand« Vanna's Choice®

GAUGE:

1 Granny Square = 6 in. (15 cm) square. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

STITCH EXPLANATION:

Popcorn Work 5 dc in indicated st, remove hook from loop, insert hook into first dc of 5-dc group, then back into loop of 5th dc and draw loop through.

Reviewed by Elizabeth Clark on 2013-08-13 *****
I used this pattern as a basis for my daughter's baby blanket combining lots of bright colors with neutrals like they did in the picture but not paying attention to the specified color scheme. It got so many compliments and was really quite easy to throw together -- if you can get past sewing in all those ends! I used it all the time and I love the way it looked in all her baby pictures.
