Lion Brand® Superwash Merino Cashmere
GAUGE: 17 sts + 36 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garterst(k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Shape Right Sleeve
Beginning at wrist edge, cast on 26 sts.
Work in Garter st (k every row) for 4 rows.
Next Row (Inc Row):K1, inc in next st, k to last 2 sts, inc in next st, k last st - 28 sts.
Continue in Garter st, rep Inc Row every 8th row 5 more times - 38 sts.
Shape Body
Continue in Garter st, rep Inc Row every other row 11 times - 60 sts.
Divide for Neck
Next Row: K30 (for right front), place remaining 30 sts on a holder (for back)
Continue on 30 right front sts only.
Next Row: K to last 2 sts, inc in next st, k last st - 31 sts.
Next Row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows 11 more times - 42 sts.
Knit 4 rows. Bind off.
Left Front
Cast on 42 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Next Row: K1, k2tog, k to end - 41 sts.
Next Row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows 11 more times - 30 sts. Slipststo a holder.
Back
Sl 30 sts for back from holder onto needle.
Knit 1 row.
Next Row:K1, inc in next st, k to end - 31 sts.
Rep last 2 rows 11 more times - 42 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Next Row: K to last 3 sts, k2tog, k last st - 41 sts.
Next Row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows 11 more times - 30 sts.
Next Row (Joining Row): K across left front sts on holder, then k across back sts- 60 sts.
Next Row (Dec Row): K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k last st - 58 sts.
Continue in Garter st, rep Dec Row every other row 11 times - 36 sts.
Shape Left Sleeve
Continue in Garter st, rep Dec Row every 8th row 5 times - 26 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Bind off.
SIDE TRIANGLES (make 2)
Cast on 45 sts.
Next (Decrease) Row: K1, k2tog, k to end - 44 sts.
Rep Dec Row 39 more times - 5 sts.
Next Row (RS): K1, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k1 - 3 sts.
Next Row: Knit.
Next Row: K3tog - 1 st. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew Side Triangles between fronts and back of Cardigan.
Sew sleeve seams. Weave in ends. |

| Fun construction! But turned out huge. I followed the gauge but this would fit a one-year old, not an infant.
