Triangle Cardigan

Lion Brand® Superwash Merino Cashmere

GAUGE:

17 sts + 36 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garterst(k every row). When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Triangle Cardigan Reviewed by Lea Mollman on 2011-09-29 *****
I made this in a medium weight cotton, pink with stripes of blue, white, and yellow. Added a rolled collar and several rows of stockinette at fronts for a button band. It came out very nice, but the stripes were a pain--so many ends to work in!
I also added a stitch at either side of each piece: slip 1st knitwise, and purl last stitch; when I sewed up through back loops of these stitches, I got a super chain-stitch-looking seam.
