Arm knitting has been around for a few years now, and it doesn’t seem like the trend is going anywhere any time soon. If you’ve been looking to give it a try, now is a great time to do so. We recommend using Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick® held double, and right now it’s on sale as part of the Wool-Ease® family.
To work with double-stranded yarn, you can either get two skeins, or you can wind about half of one skein into its own separate ball. Than, work from that in addition to the original. Using two strands allows you to play with color, mixing up combinations or adding in some sparkle or striping. Have fun with it!
One of the best things about arm knitting is that it’s super fast — you can make a scarf in less than an hour. It’s also a great way to make last-minute holiday gifts or knit when you don’t have needles with you. If you have kids, this is a fun craft to try out over their winter break!
