Love Wool-Ease for my winter project

I have been crocheting with Lion Brand's Wool-Ease for more than 20 years. In 2004, I decided to crochet an afghan to go on my king-sized bed. I chose this yarn specifically, because I wanted the wool content and the worsted weight to add warmth for the cold Michigan winters. I only bought enough yarn for the first 4 or 5 color bands. When in 2005 my husband moved us to Florida year round, I knew I had to just roll up and store the project because Florida is too warm for a wool afghan! In 2019, we retired and moved back home to Michigan. During the move, I found my abandoned wool afghan and started looking for the same colors to continue with the project. But, I could only find one of my colors still in production (the green). What to do? It was time to find new colors that would complement the variegated color band I had used in the beginning. The dark rose heather and forest green heather I ordered from Lion Brand are perfect for my project. Each winter since then I have worked at finishing this ambitious project.

Wool-ease excellent squishy wool blend without the itch!

This wool-ease yarn is a true pleasure to knit with, and no itch! The sweater and scarf are so soft and cozy. I can hardly wait to start another wool-ease yarn project!

Loved it!!

This was a really nice yarn that knits up so beautifully. I knitted the Peaks and Valleys baby blanket with it and it was so warm.

One of my favorites for blanket making! It’s so soft & very durable. I made one blanket for my second born & currently working on one for a neighbor. Definitely would use this yarn again!
