I always love new books, if I could I would have built the books their own house.

A bit dated but then, that’s why it was a bargain!

Years ago, I was one of the first Homespun enthusiasts and customers. Still have a nice little stash waiting to be worked up. This book has dated patterns; it’s publication date confirms that. Still, if one loves the yarn and the pattern, or can adapt the latter, it all works. The background info on the yarn is interesting. It was a bit revolutionary at the time it came out.

Interesting book with patterns

This 45 page book is a fun way to learn about the history of Homespun yarn. The book also includes patterns for 9 crocheted afghans. All afghans featured are Easy+ and one intermediate. There is a nice variety of pattern styles, so this is a book for all.
I've been a fan of Homespun yarn since I discovered it about 15 years ago. There are so many colors to chose from in solids, stripes and painterly colors. As it is a Size 5 Bulky yarn it works up fast, so it's my go-to yarn for last minute gifts or to add some comfort to a room. I always stocky up when this yarn goes on sale. But with 185 yards per skein it is worth the full price.

Great book!

Even tho I don't crochet and this book has all crochet projects in it, I STILL loved reading about my favorite Home Spun yarn and how it's made! GREAT book for ANY knitter or crocheter to learn more about the Home Spun yarn and how it's made! This book I now keep on my coffee table to pick up and read and browse through. Maybe some day ? I'll teach myself to crochet. I really love knitting tho!
