I want to do 3 stars because I feel like this is the bare minimum you could ask of a pom pom maker. But I'm giving it a 4 because it's not like it doesn't do the job. It just doesn't contribute as much to completing the job as I thought it would. I've never tried a different pom-pom maker, and maybe I'm not doing it right, but it seems like this should be simpler. TLYarncrafts has a Youtube video on making pom poms and she uses a different brand that opens so you can wrap the yarn around. With LionBrand's closed circles, I had to try to guess how much yarn I would need and pull it out and then wear the yarn out putting it through the hole and around and through the hole for at least 20 minutes before I could cut it and tie it off. I ended up with a pom pom, so it works. I just think there must be a better way, and I expected this to be better than it is.
