Nice scarf

Pattern is well written and easy to follow. The scarf works up quickly and looks elegant! Thanks!

Easy pattern, pretty yarn, AWFUL scarf

The pattern is easy, well written, and error-free.. The yarn in the kit is lovely. Unfortunately, the yarn and the pattern are NOT a good fit.

Despite decades of experience in crochet, despite following pattern directions to the letter, despite blocking the bejaysus out of the finished scarf - I had a limp pink rope, not a scarf. The yarn provided is a poor choice for the design. It lacks sufficient "bloom" to fluff out the stitches. It lacks sufficient body to hold the scarf's shape. It looks likeI crocheted a rag.

Years of experience to the rescue: I frogged the scarf. I then paired the yarn with a "carry-along'' yarn in complimentary texture and color (from my stash) to knit a beautiful garter stitch infinity scarf on size 13 (US) needles.
I made up the pattern again - with a size N (9mm) hook, in a wider width, with a bulky nylon "fuzzy" yarn paired with a nylon "string and bobble" textured yarn. (Both from stash) It made a lovely cloud-soft scarf , long enough to wrap in several ways.
