Very smooth hook

I bought some super bulky #6) weight yarn, Hometown, for a blanket and Lion suggested this hook which was the size I needed, 10 mm. I had one or two hooks in that size that I didn't love, and I wasn't sure I was going to like working with such a bulky yarn, so I decided to try this hook. I love it! I do like the smaller size Clover metal hooks and this was the first time I tried the larger plastic hook. It's very smooth and crocheting with it has been an enjoyable experience!

Smooth and nice to use

I’m a novice so I can’t claim to know how these compare to other hooks but I found these to be very comfortable in the hand and get the job done. I have them in a variety of sizes now as don’t think I will be changing to another brand any time soon.

Smooth and light

It’s a good hook, but contrary to the listed description, the tip is not aluminum, it’s plastic. It’s a very smooth plastic so no hang ups as far as that goes. I prefer the heft of an aluminum tip along with an ergonomic handle which is what I thought I was buying.

Great hook, just not for me

The hook performance was wonderful. It glides through the stitches without splitting them. The only issue I have with this hook is the grip on the handle. I hold the hook slightly off from how it was designed with the ergonomic grip, so the edge of the thumb rest is right where my thumb lands when working with the hook and it makes it uncomfortable to work with. (For reference, I crochet using a knife grip style.) The tapered end of the hook handle tends to irritate the palm of my hand when working because of the rubbing it causes while I crochet. I am used to rolling the hook by the end of the handle, rather than twisting my wrist as much, which is probably not an issue for most.
