This is an easy pattern: make 5 scarves and then join them toggle to make an throw blanket. The ombre yarn is supposed to result in a gradual change of color from light to dark. The problem is that there are many breaks in the yarn. The yarn was knotted back together in the making of the skeins. The color does not fade nicely from dark to light and then dark again because of the missing sections of yarn. Also, the yarn is thick in some places and thin in other places and it is difficult to keep each scarf a consistent width. I doubt that blocking the pieces would result in much improvement. I have been crocheting for 50 years; I am a very experienced crocheter, yet this simple project was very frustrating for me. I finished 4 of the 5 scarves and didn’t make the 5th scarf because the first 4 came out so ugly.
