Re-Tweed is a rustic-look tweed yarn that comes in an array of muted natural colors. The nubby texture created by the tweed flecks will add depth to even the most basic stitches and patterns, or show off the tweed in cables or traditional gansey patterns.

Love it!

The pattern made up easily to a hat. I plan to make more. I had to go down 2 hook sizes.

Go-to durable blend for slippers

I have made several pairs of slippers using this yarn knit 2 strands at once, and they have held up well - daily use for over a year and a half now and still going strong. The blend of wool and polyester and acrylic gives it a good balance of warmth, durability and softness. (I did use silicone caulk on the soles to add life and non-stick surface, and have shored up the heel of my own pair once.)

I am barely into my project (a sweater for my partner) and have run into 3 knots/splits. I always tug then to see if they will hold, these wouldn't have so I have three changes when I'm not even done with the first ball/skein. I just hope I didn't miss any and this sweater stays together

Hi Catherine - our apologies for the number of knots in your yarn! If you come across any more in your current ball of yarn, please contact our quality control team at support@lionbrand.com.

Nice Yarn

I made a hat with this yarn (Elmwood) along with the Lion Brand Jean(Stonewash) yarn and they made such a beautiful hat. I loved working with this yarn.

Preliminary report

I am knitting a vest with Hay Re-Tweed. I like the "tweediness" of the yarn. I am only on my first skein, but was somewhat disappointed to find several joining knots, the first within the first few rows. But that shouldn't be surprising--after all, it is RE-tweed. It has held up to reworking (I am prone to mistakes) satisfactorily. I like the overall (light) weight of the piece I'm working up, and looking forward to wearing the finished project.
