The vibrant depth of colors of Heartland yarn make up into a beautiful project. I have completed one blanket and am working on two more. It is a joy to work with.
I adore the Heartland brand yarn and will upload an image of the blanket as soon as I'm finished. That said, it took far too long for my order to ship both times I ordered directly from Lion Brand. I ordered Heartland from Michaels once and Mary Maxim twice, weeks after placing my order with Lion Brand, and received all orders before Lion Brand shipped. If Lion Brand doesn't have the product on hand to ship, the customer should know before ordering. I do love the yarn, but will look for it elsewhere so that time sensitive projects aren't delayed. The following is the blanket before I started joining.
Very excited when my yarn parcel arrived from the US. Until I opened it. !! The colour is nothing like it is online. I had ordered Petrified Forest, but might just as well have chosen grey. I now know why Love Crafts do not import this colour to the UK. Was told I could send back at my own expense, moral of story, do not trust online pictures and only order in the UK
Just finished a beautiful blanket for my aunt. Gorgeous drape and perfect stitch definition.
I can't speak for any other colorway, but I absolutely love King Canyon. It's a lovely color mix. It's my favorite Acrylic yarn, sleek and smooth with a working texture not unlike some silk blends I've worked with. It blocks and stretches well, so pairing it with a thicker/denser yarn is also fun. I worked mine around a square made of Alpaca + Merino, and it gave me no trouble!
I love the yarn but half way through my grandson’s blanket I had to order more and the yarn was much much darker than original yarn. Was very disappointed because I like lion brand yarn
Hello Sheryl, - we're sorry that your different dye lots weren't a closer match! If you do need to use two separate dye lots in the same project we suggest alternating rows between the two lots to blend them together.
