DECORATIONS
Glue 2 sticks together at centers to form a cross shape.
To make ornament, you will wrap yarn around center of cross, then over and around one ‘arm’ of cross, turn piece clockwise and continue wrapping around remaining arms. As you wrap the yarn, be sure wraps are close to, but not on top of, previous wraps. To change colors, cut old color. Tie end of old and new color yarns together and continue wrapping.
Ornament shown has 4-6 wraps each in the following sequence: A, B, D, E, F and C.

| Holiday Decorations - also called "Eye of God" Reviewed by Heather P on 2008-08-10 |

This pattern when using at least two colors is also called an "Eye of God." We made them at camp when I was growing up and I later taught girls in the group I led how to make them. They are very easy to make, and one that one of the girls made currently hangs from my rear view mirror.
