Nana's Bathmat
Lion Brand® Lion® Cotton
GAUGE: Working with 2 strands held together, 14 sts and 20 rows = 4 in [10cm] over stitch pattern BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: At first glance, this bath mat looks like it’s knit in plain old garter stitch. Look a little more closely, and you’ll see that the knit-purl pattern actually creates a fabric with a corrugated look. The mat is worked with two pieces of yarn stranded together to create a thick, sturdy fabric.

I just finished my second bathmat and love them! I made the first exactly as described, then the second one I made just a bit bigger for myself! I am getting ready to make another one as well. Thanks for making this pattern available.
