Tassel Doll
Lion Brand® Homespun®
GAUGE: Exact gauge is not important to this project
|
INSTRUCTIONS (for one 14" tassel doll): 1. Body: Wrap 2 skeins of yarn around an 18" length of cardboard or foam core. Hair: Wrap the third skein over the top of the yarn you have already wrapped.
2. Double a 24" piece of yarn and thread through the top of tapestry needle, thread through top of tassel, and tie tightly. Cut other end open to remove cardboard.
3. Separate the hair yarn from the body yarn. Using a 12" length of yarn, wrap around the body tightly about 4" below the top knot creating the head. Knot off. Trim and style hair any way you like.
4. By separating the strands, you can make the waist, arms, and legs by tying them together with yarn, *rubber bands or *elastic bands. Trim tightly.
5. Either sew or glue buttons on for eyes and nose, and the pipe cleaner as a mouth.
