GAUGE:

8 sts and 11 rows = 4 in /10cm over St st using size 15 (10mm) needles with 1 strand A and 3 strands B held tog. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Beret and Muff Reviewed by Gina on 2009-11-08 *****
This pattern is lots of fun to make, and even more fun to wear.

I made matching hats for me and my 10 year-old daughter in white, and a hat and muff in pink for her.

She loves to wear this set because it is so glamorous; she feels like a princess.

When we wear our matching hats, we get compliments all the time and asked where we got them. This makes a perfect gift-- the hat, the muff or both!
