Easy Cable Vest
Lion Brand® Woolspun (old)
GAUGE: 10 sts and 16 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in Reverse St st on larger needles. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: CABLE PATTERN (worked over 8 sts): Rows 1,3 & 5 (RS): K 8. Rows 2, 4, 6 & 8 (WS): P 8. Row 7 (RS): Sl4 sts onto cable needle (cn) and hold in front of work, k next 4 sts, k 4 sts from cn. Rep Rows 1-8 for cable.

NOTES: All shaping decreases are done inside garter stitch borders.

We're sorry but the Woolspun yarn has been discontinued.
The yarns listed below will give approximately the same gauge as Wool-Spun and could be used to make
this pattern, but the textures
of the item will be very different. Be sure you check
your gauge carefully and use whatever
hook/needle size is necessary to obtain the
gauge of your pattern. Be sure you are happy with the resulting
fabric. Substitute by yards, not by weight
or number of skeins.
