Great pattern, not-so-great socks Reviewed by Marsha on 2008-07-12 **
I enjoyed very much the actual process of knitting these socks several years ago. Unfortunately, the socks are not made for wearing in shoes, as they are really thick (my older brother jokingly calls them my "bear claws"). I agree wholeheartedly with the previous review that either the yarn or the pattern simply isn't made for the rigorous use socks get. Within two years, my pair has holes in the heel area as well as in under the balls of the toes. Too bad, because they were great to wear on cold nights.
