Ribbon-Trimmed Scarf
Lion Brand® Velvetspun
GAUGE: 8 stitches + 18 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in ribbing stitch (knit 1, purl 1). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: SPECIAL CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR VELVETSPUN YARN To maintain full plushness, a knot should be tied at the beginning of each skein and at both ends when joining yarn. Handle the yarn gently and do not unravel or re-use. A minimal amount of shedding is normal with this yarn.

| I love Lion Brand Yarn. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with this project. The Velvetspun yarn is extremely fragile and sheds constantly even when handled gently. The ribbing has no elasticity and doesn't pleat--it just lays flat. I even had the working yarn break while I was knitting. So, if you like this pattern I would pick Homespun or Wool-Ease which both knit up beautifully.
