GAUGE: 24 sts + 32 rows = 4" [10 cm] in St st. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Neckwarmer extremely stretchy and is worn doubled around the neck

NECKWARMER
Cast on 24 sts.
Knit in Stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) until piece
measures 24 inches.
Bind off, leaving an 8-inch tail.
FINISHING
Sew ends of band together. Weave in ends. |

| I haven't made this, but if I were to knit this, even as a beginner, I'd K the first 3 sts. then stocking knit to within the last 3 sts. and K those. This would prevent the rolling. Also blocking the piece would help in the rolling. I wonder if 24" is enough to wrap this around your head to get the double layer.
